Crazy Girl!

The little girl rules our world! We made a lot of road trips this summer. She was not a fan. I took this picture about 45 minutes from Grandma's house. I think this look says you are ruining my life! As you can tell we tried about every snack we had to cheer her up. In fact, she ate so much junk that when she got to Grandma's she threw it all up. We now try to listen to the screaming rather than give her too much junk!
Her favorite part of swimming this summer was going in and out and in and out of the pool. She hated it when we would have to hold her in the deeper water.
She also thinks, no wait, she knows that she is a big girl and can do whatever the other big girls do. I only left her alone for a couple of minutes. When I tried to grab the polish from her, she threw it so I couldn't have it. Needless to say there was a BIG mess involved with this one. After I clean her up she looked down at her feet and said "pretty!"

1st day of school

Elijah and Gracee started a brand new charter school this year. Uniforms and all (and pink is not a color option.) Gracee is not so thrilled about the uniforms but she is surviving. Elijah's teacher is Mrs. Stewart. Gracee has Mrs. Ables.

Emmalee goes to school pretty early and I forgot to take a picture before she left. She had a headache by the time she got home. Gracee was pretty jealous of her 1st day outfit!

Isaiah is always so sad when the kids go back to school. This year we decided to make them a giant cookie! He decided what to write on it and helped bake it. The boy loves to cook! It looks like he tried out the left over frosting.

Fair

Emmalee got to spend the summer in Idaho again! She had a great time and I hope she learned a lot. She got to raise a lamb again and this year she got to show it in the fair and she won Grand Champion! Grandpa was so proud! At the end of the sheep show, any little kids who wanted could show a lamb in the kid class. Elijah and Isaiah had a great time. I had to wipe some of the fair filth off of Isaiah before he went in. He truly figured out what little boys are supposed to do at the fair and played in lots of dirt!

She found a pair of jeans that weren't skinny jeans so she would fit in with the Idaho kids. She thought it was funny that it is not cool to wear skinny jeans in Idaho and it is not cool to wear boot cut jeans at home!

Museum

One day I found Isaiah busy playing with his animals. When I asked him what he as doing he told me he was making a museum. He also explained that he couldn't find the zookeeper that goes with the set and so it had to be a museum because there was no one to take care of the animals! (please ignore any dust)

Yellowstone

This summer we took an awesome family trip to Yellowstone Park! Jarad didn't get to join us but my family did and we had a great time! Here we are at the end of the day waiting for Old Faithful.
We loved the buffalo! When we first got into the park there was a traffic jam from a buffalo running down the street. The kids loved it! Amanda tried to get a picture of that one but the ranger told her (through his bull horn) to keep driving! We also saw a mama grizzly with her two cubs. It was far away and had to be seen through binoculars so I didn't get a picture but it was super cool!
What a beautiful place!

Sarah and I hiked up and down this crazy hill with these crazy heavy babies! It counted for oue workouts for the day!


We made Brett work hard!


We included a camping trip our visit to Yellowstone. We had an amazing view of the Tetons from our campsite!

Evan and Isaiah

This summer we got lot of cousin time! I love these pictures. Of course they couldn't both look good in the same picture!

Birthday catch-up!

Jarad & Gracee

That girl does love chocolate!

Luckily, Jarad likes it too! We also had chocolate ice cream with this cake!

Two nieces and one nephew got to come to our house this summer. One at a time. Sadly I didn't take pictures of Isaac and Carlee's trips but Jadyn got to celebrate her birthday with us!

Jadyn

She was in charge of placing the candy! I love her work!

Elijah got to celebrate his birthday in Provo with his cousins!!

He does love his legos! For the record his cake was the exact opposite of Gracee's. While her's was all things chocolate, his was all things vanilla, including the ice cream!

Elizabeth and Emmalee share a birthday but this year we celebrated them seperately. We just had to do the one year old cake!

She wasn't sure of the candle but the cake, well that was yummy!

With 4 siblings this was not her first taste of sugar.

Interviews

The girls got a great game at Activity Days that asks all kinds of questions about yourself. We have enjoyed playing and getting to know each other better. I decided that it would be nice to interview each kid today and record their answers. I also added a few recent pictures. They are numbered by birth order and not by their place in my heart. ;)
